State of mind

I have been experimenting a lot w new materials lately and have a nice pile of failed pieces to show for it. This morning I was trying to make some abstract cut outs in sheet rubber. When I tacked up the work to take a look, I recognized my frustration staring back at me.

    I like this overall…except for the thumbtack eyes. as with all your work…they do fine when they stand on thei own. The canning rings look good too. K

    Great! It’s the response of the rest of us sloggers to Lean In. Then you take the thumbtack eyes out and you’ve turned a trope on its side….
